AR holds anti-drug abuse, tribute events

Noney, November 26 2024: Assam Rifles organised an awareness lecture on the theme "Say No to Drugs" at Leishok village in Noney district, which had the participation of 45 locals, including elders and youth.

The lecture focused on the dangers of drug abuse and its impact on individuals, families, and society, aims to inspire collective efforts towards building a drug-free community and reaffirm Assam Rifles' unwavering dedication to nurturing a harmonious and prosperous society.

On the other-hand, Assam Rifles Noney Battalion organised a wreath laying ceremony at the battalion's War Memorial to pay homage to riflemen (GD) Bhagin Bahadur Pun and (GD) Bhoj Bahadur Thapa, who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

The gallant soldiers made the supreme sacrifice on November 26, 1966 while fighting insurgents in Mizoram.
