15 yrs on, families of Rabina, Sanjit await justice

Imphal, July 23 2025: "It has been 15 years since Thokchom Rabina and Chungkham Sanjit were killed in the Khwairamband Keithel firing incident on July 23, 2009.However, their families continue to await justice," stated JAC against the Brutal Killing of Th Rabina convenor Ahanthem Shila.

She made the statement during the observance of the 15th death anniversary of Rabina and Sanjit, at Thamnapokpi community hall, Tao-thong Khunou in Lamsang on Wednesday.

Shila noted that the families of Th Rabina and Ch Sanjit have been waiting for justice for the last 15 years.

But instead of justice, successive governments have been suppressing the case, she alleged, while asserting that JAC would continue to fight till justice is delivered.

As part of the observance, floral tributes were offered to the portraits of the deceased duo.

The observance was also attended by JAC president Na-hakpam Memcha, Taothong Khunou Women Welfare Association advisor Achom Jil-angambi and Nupi Khunnai, Lamsang Keithel president Kshetrimayum Rashi Devi.
