Medical camp, skills training conducted

Indian Army organised a medical camp at old age homes in Kumbi and Naodakhong of Bishnupur district on Tuesday to commemorate International Day of Older People during which medical assistance were provided to elderly people of the homes and adjoining villages.
According to PRO Defence, a team of Army doctors and nursing staff provided comprehensive health check-ups, consultations; treatments and medicines to 83 senior citizens, including 35 women.
On the other hand, in an initiative to enhance communication skills and English language for students in tribal area, Indian Army, honouring the request of Principal of Indira Gandhi Hill Flower School, Mohgkot Chepu in Ukhrul district organised an eight-week training curriculum in a hybrid mode (Online and contact studies) for the students of classes 8 to 10 .
The programme is designed to benefit over 50 students and will assist in improving their proficiency in English language to boost their confidence and enhance their overall personality, informed the PRO in another release.
