Assam Rifles commemorates Constitution Day

In line with the observance of Constitution Day on Tuesday, Assam Rifles organised a series of educational initiatives aimed at celebrating the adoption of the Indian Constitution and reinforcing its significance in contemporary society.
According to a release iSsued by PRO 1GAR (S), the Constitution, adopted on November 26, 1949 stands as a testament to India's democratic spirit and visionary leadership, blending indigenous values with global principles.
Assam Rifles commemorated this important day with a special event for youth attending a skill development course at Sanjeevani, Imphal West.
This gathering not only celebrated the Constitution s adoption but also reaffirmed the core values of democracy, equality, and justice that underpin the Republic of India.
A lecture delivered by an Assam Rifles Officer highlighted the Constitution's vital role in governance, the rule of law, and social justice.
Participants were reminded of their responsibilities in upholding these ideals, with particular emphasis on the Assam Rifles' commitment to safeguarding the nation's unity and integrity, said the PRO, adding that 100 youths attended the event, enhancing their awareness of fundamental rights, duties, and the importance of civic engagement.
Assam Rifles also organised an awareness lecture at H Mongjang village in Tengnoupal district to raise consciousness about the significance of the Constitution.
The session participated by 85 villagers, including 20 women and 47 childrep, emphasised the Constitution's glorious history and transformative features, such as fundamental rights and duties, while encouraging community members to embrace its principles in their daily lives.
