Seilalgou becomes first Gangte NDA cadre

Seilalgou Gangte, son of SS Gangte (Chuongin Gangte) and Kimthienhat of Bunglon village but presently residing at D Phailien, Churachandpur, cracked the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA) 2024 exam conducted by the UPSC.
He secured the 238th All India rank (out of total 395 seats) and thus, became the first among the Gangtes to make the cut for the prestigious academy.
He is the only son among three siblings of retired BSF sub-inspector SS Gangte.
Seilalgou completed his high school from Don Bosco Hr Sec School, Churachandpur, secured 78.83 per cent in 2022 and finished his Class XII (Science) from St Paul's Institute, Lamka with 84.2 per cent.
He scaled the all-India exam conducted by UPSC in his first attempt and will now undergo a 3-year-training course at NDA Khadakwasla, Pune and one year course at IMA, Dehradun before he gets commissioned into the Indian army.
It may be mentioned that Seilalgou recently got admission for Mathematics honours at St Stephen's College, Delhi.
