TC college conducts test for BEd course

Kangpokpi, June 22 2025: Entrance examination for admission into Bachelor of Education (BEd) at TC College of Teacher Education and Bachelor of Social Work, Kangpokpi was conducted at the college on Saturday with over 200 teacher aspirants appearing the test.

The examination was conducted with strict adherence to guidelines of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) ensuring transparency, integrity and merit-based assessment.

TC college, the only such institution in Kangpok-pf district and one of only three across the entire hill districts of Manipur, continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the educational future of the region.

Regarding the entrance examination, TC college chairman T Kipgen emphasised the vital role of professionally trained teachers in transforming the education sector especially in underserved and remote hill districts.

He said that education begins with educators and the entrance examination with strict adherence to NCTE guidelines laid the foundation for a better, more qualified generation of teachers who will drive academic excellence and nurture responsible citizens.

He continued that TC college authority is deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards in teacher training and believes that BEd programme is not merely a degree but a crucial mechanism for reshaping how education is imparted in Sadar Hills and beyond.
