Indian Army celebrates World Art Day across state

Imphal, April 15 2025:
The Indian Army organised a series of activities to celebrate World Art Day across the state on Tuesday.
According to PRO Defence, painting competitions held in Imphal East district had the participation of over 50 students from class 8 to 10 of Paramount Standard English School, while primary class students of the Emmanuel School displayed their artistic talent through diverse themes, demonstrating their passion for art.
In Bishnupur district, a painting competition was organised at Lamjing Meira Maheikol School, Saiton with the participation of over 150 students.
The event featured live painting sessions and a themed competition, encouraging young minds to express their imagination through various forms of visual art.
Participants were felicitated with prizes in recognition of their talent and efforts, the PRO said.
Informing that the initiatives were held to promote creativity, cultural awareness, and holistic development among students while strengthening the bond between the Army and local communities, the PRO added that conduct of the events were appreciated by teachers and staff of the participating schools.
