Imphal, January 13 2025: Manipur Yoga Society (MYS) organised the prize distribution function of the 1st Manipur Yogasana Championship, which was held at Singjamei community hall on December 14 and 15, 2024, at Flash Mandap, Wahengbam Leikai, Imphal on Sunday.

In a release, MYS informed that the programme was attended by Manipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry secretary Anil Haorokcham, social worker Konthoujam Krishna Kumar Singh, colonel Gojendro Haobam and MYS president Dr Basudev Singh as chief guest, special guest, guest of honour and president, respectively.

During the function, a special yoga demonstration was performed by the yoga athletes.

1st, 2nd and 3rd position winners in each categories were honoured with a trophy and certificate while 155 yoga athletes/players were presented participation certificates, it added.

According to the MYS, 41 state yoga athletes will participate in the 36th National Yogasana Championship, 2024-25 in Midnapore, West Bengal from January 17 to 19.K Krishna Kumar Singh also donated track suits for the athletes and officials selected for the Midnapore championship.
