'Nongma Panba Laibung Kaba' prog held

Kakching, October 04 2024: The 3rd Nongma Panba Laibung Kaba programme was organised by Arambai Tenggol Unit-26, Kakching along with a meeting with Kakching denizens at the Ibudhou Khamlangba Laibung ground on Thursday.

The programme held every month to dissect backwardness of the Meitei/Meetei community in diverse aspects and discuss measures for progression of the community, was attended by representatives of Kakching-based CSOs and public.

Arambai Tenggol PRO Robin Mangang, Salai Kakching member Naoremcha Rajen Meitei and Kakching Municipal Council former vice chairperson Moirangthem Brojen among others addressed the gathering.

The speakers expressed grave concern that settlements of the Meitei/Meetei Community are not only vulnerable due to presence of adversaries but the community itself is facing risk of extinction in case effective counter-measures are not put in place.

They also attributed such vulnerability to large section of the community lacking enthusiasm to uphold ancestral religion, language, traditions and culture.

The present tumultuous situation, however, should be construed as a wake-up call, follow the path shown by our ancestors and unite to save the motherland, emphasised the speakers.
