Security Forces nab NSCN (IM) cadre

Imphal, September 26 2021: Maram Battalion of Headquarters IGAR (East) under Spear Corps on September 24 apprehended one active cadre of NSCN (IM) at Maram.

According to PIB (DW), based on specific input, security forces launched an operation in general area of Maram which led to the nabbing of the NSCN (IM) cadre.

On further interrogation, the individual revealed that he was working for NSCN (IM) since 2002.He is involved in extortion and tax collection activities in NH-02 since last two months and he further said that he was collecting tax with another cadre who ran away with the money on seeing the security forces.

The apprehended cadre has been handed over to Senapati Police Station for further investigation, said PIB.
