Imphal, July 23 2025: In a significant step towards achieving the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan goals, Thrawchhiinya Threilou Ralya (TTR), the youth wing of Tungjoy Veymai village in Senapati district launched dustbin distribution drive covering all households in Thrawchhiinya locality.

As per a release, the initiative aims to check random garbage disposal, promote proper waste management, and instil a culture of cleanliness among the villagers.

Each household has been provided with colour-coded dustbins to encourage segregation of waste at source.

The organisers will oversee regular waste collection and proper disposal so as to ensure that the low-cost, community-led initiative promotes social responsibility in keeping the village clean and serve as a model for effective waste management in other rural areas.
