Cleanliness drive held at Haochong market

Noney, April 23 2022: Noney Battalion Assam Rifles of 22 Sector/IGAR (East) organised a cleanliness drive in Haochong market area on Saturday as a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which is a country-wide campaign of the central government to eliminate open defecation and improve solid waste management.

The objective of the cleanliness drive was to generate awareness and bring about a behavioural change regarding sanitation practices and motivate residents at the local level.

Troops of Haochong Temporary Operating Base (TOB) educated the villagers about the benefits of keeping the surrounding neat and clean including proper segregation and disposal of solid waste.

Locals including children along with troops of Noney Battalion participated in the cleanliness drive joined by village chairman and authorities.
