SHRI observes Cervical Cancer awareness month

Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI), in collaboration with Primary Health Centre (PHC), Kumbi, observed Cervical Cancer awareness month by organising a cervical cancer screening and awareness programme for Accredited Social Health (ASHAs) workers on Monday, at PHC Kumbi.
According to a statement issued by Shija Hospitals PRO, during the event, its Consultant for obstetrician & gynaecology Dr Irom Amrita Devi addressed 30 ASHA workers and provided detailed insights on cervical cancer, including its causes, risk factors, symptoms, preventive measures, and treatment options.
The programme aims to acquaint ASHA workers with the knowledge to identify early indicators of cervical cancer and promote preventive measures within their communities.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, addressing participants' questions and concerns to enhance their understanding of cervical cancer prevention and care.
