AR dedicates waiting shed, toilet block

Under its Operation Sadbhavana, Assam Rifles on Tuesday handed over a newly constructed waiting shed to the residents of Haochong village in Noney district.
The waiting shed will be able to provide shelter to the residents, travellers and daily commuters, offering them respite from the scorching sun and unpredictable rain.
Speaking on the occasion, Noney Battalion commandant highlighted the force's enduring mission to foster goodwill and improve the quality of life in remote areas.
He reaffirmed their dedication to promoting sustainable development and ensuring that the needs of the local communities are met with compassion and efficiency.
Meanwhile, PRO IGAR (S) informed that Assam Rifles inaugurated a newly constructed toilet block at Suangdoh village in Churachandpur district under the Operation Sadbhavana on Tuesday.
In a release, the PRO stated that lack of proper sanitation facilities has been a long pressing issue for residents of Suangdoh village and surrounding areas, due to the non-availability of toilets.
The construction of the toilet block is a step towards improving the quality of life for its residents, especially women and children, who are most affected by the lack of privacy and sanitation, added the release.
