Imphal, March 29 2025: The Public Relations Officer, HQ IGAR (South) has issued a rebuttal against the news item titled "PREPAK (PRO) and KYKL extend condolences" published on March 29 in this paper.

It stated that the news item misrepresented facts and incorrectly stated that "the Indian Army is using KNA(B) as a proxy and is operating jointly with KNA(B)" .

It has reiterated that the Indian Army operates as per the mandate of Government of India and remains committed to maintaining peace and security without bias.

It cautioned that publishing of such "unverified and incorrect news by media houses can stoke emotions and threaten peace" .

Further, it requested media houses to act responsibly and verify authenticity of the news from authorized sources prior to publishing any info pertaining to the Indian Army.
