Health minister launches IEC campaign

Imphal, August 12 2024:
Health & Family Welfare minister Dr Sapam Singh on-Monday flagged off a cycle rally in connection with the launch of Intensified Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign.
The rally, participated by around 150 cyclists, was flagged off from Khagempalli Huidrom Leikai Lairembi Lampak, Imphal West and culminated at NG College, Lamphel.
The rally was jointly organised by National AIDS Control Organisation and Manipur State AIDS Control Society in connection with International Youth Day; 2024 .
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the flag off ceremony, Dr Ranjan expressed hope that the two month campaign would help enlighten the public on how to prevent HIV, AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) and also about other preventive measures, in addition to HIV/AIDS Prevention Act.
MACS project director Haobam Rosita Devi and other officials also attended the occasion.
Later, Dr S Ranjan flagged of a motorcycle rally as a part of the Har Ghar Tirafnga in Thoubal district.
