AR pays tributes to fallen hero at Maram

Senapati, April 09 2025: A solemn wreath laying ceremony was conducted at the Assam Rifles War Memorial, Maram on Wednesday to honour the supreme sacrifice of rifleman Nar Balladur Chhetri, who laid down his life while traveling in train which was blown up by insurgents at Dhansari Railway Station near Nagaland border on April 9, 1963.Wreaths were laid On behalf of all ranks remembering the supreme sacrifice of the soldier.

A one minute silence was also observed during the ceremony.

The event was a solemn reminder of their unwavering commitment and selfless service to the nation.

Their legacy will forever remain enshrined in the history of the AR, inspiring generations to come.
