DC reviews implementation of Mid-Day Meal Scheme

Noney, July 30 2024: Noney deputy commissioner Dr Sharath Chandra Arroju, accompanied by Noney Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Xavier Longmei and other officials visited Noney Aided Primary School and Tengkonjang Higher Secondary School at Longmai Part-3, on Tuesday and reviewed implementation of Mid-Day Meal Scheme.

During the visit, the DC enquired on various aspects of the schools' operations, including timing and schedule for serving meals.

The DC noted that turnout of students was impressive and commended the school authorities and the ZEO for their efforts.

He also observed meal preparation and serving process and interacted with staffers and students, apart from seeking their inputs on timing of the meals and quality of the food provided.

The DC expressed satisfaction with the overall implementation of the Scheme and lauded the ZEO, school authorities and staffers for their dedication, hard work and ensuring effective management and provision of MidDay Meal.
