Imphal, June 28 2025: Moppet Decoration and Cultural Centre, Yumnam Huidrom Thiyam Leikai Leishangkhong hosted a series of puppetry shows of Gurumayum Basanta Shrama - an awardee of senior fellowship for batch 2020-21 - under the Centre for Resource and Training, Ministry of Culture, Government of India on Saturday.

A release issued by MDCC president G Sanatombi Sharma said that the puppetry shows were performed in appreciation of Basanta Sharma's final research work about the origin and development of traditional puppetry in Manipur.

The programme was attended by Nat Sankirtan guru Y Ibohal Singh as chief guest, Pung guru L Khaba Mietei as guest of honour and MDCC, Manipur vice president G Jugeshwor Sharma as president of the programme.
