Sit-in decries monetary demand on Govt departments

Thoubal, October 24 2024: Reacting against monetary demands placed by various organisations on different government departments located in Thoubal Mini Secretariat, a sit-in protest was held near the Thoubal ZEO Zone-II office on Thursday.

The sit-in was participated by staff members of ZEO, ICDS, One Stop Centre (Sakhi), and other offices operating from the mini secretariat.

The protesters held placards inscribed with slogans that denounced unreasonable monetary demands served against government offices, appealed not to cause disturbance to Zonal Education Office and other education-related undertakings, condemned rogue elements taking undue advantage of the crisis situation, cease imposing unbearable monetary demands on government employees, etc.
