Non-Manipuri found unconscious dies

Imphal, July 23 2025: Imphal police station has informed that an unknown non-Manipuri male was found unconscious at RIMS Road, Imphal near Shri Nityainanda Temple, Uripok Tourungbam Leikai on Monday around 8.30 am .

A release issued by the station said that a police team rushed to the spot and evacuated to RIMS hospital for medical treatment.

However, the man was declared dead by the MO of RIMS hospital on Tuesday around 08:56 am .

The body of the deceased has been deposited at RIMS morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.

The same will be disposed of as per the law if no one claims it within July 26, said the police statement.

It specified that the deceased is about 5.3 feet in height, black complexioned, medium built, grey and cropped hair, round face, clad in yellow half sleeve T-shirt marked "9" and blue jeans.
