AR conducts recruitment truining, medical camp

Assam Rifles announced commencement of a 10-week specialised pre-recruitment training programme tailored for Agniveer aspirants in Nambol, Bishnupur district to empower and prepare aspiring candidates for enrolment in the Indian Defence Forces.
A total 24 candidates are attending the said training, said a release of PRO IGAR (S) on Thursday.
The pre-recruitment training programme is designed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge required to excel in defence exams.
Through a comprehensive curriculum developed by experienced trainers and experts, participants will undergo rigorous training sessions covering physical fitness, aptitude tests, and military drills essential for serving with defence forces, the PRO informed, adding that key components of the programme include physical fitness training, rigorous fitness regimes and exercises to build endurance and strength.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles conducted medical camp at Tuiring Phaisen (Dampi area), Churachandpur district, to provide medical aid to the underprivileged in remote villages amidst the ongoing crisis.
A total of 108 villagers, including 46 women, and 10 children benefitted from the camp.
Doctors from Assam Rifles examined and provid -ed necessary medications to the patients.
The camp also focused on educating the villagers about environmental hygiene, sanitation, and the prevention of lifestyle diseases and contagious diseases.
Health and dietary counselling were also provided for a disease-free family and society, informed the PRO in another release.
It also stated that Assam Rifles organised a drawing and painting competition themed on yoga at New Samtal, Ai-bol Joupi, Kovang and Sehlon villages on Wednesday and Thursday.
The competition was participated by 103 young talents.
