Lecture programme on Indian constitution held

LMS Law College of Dhanamanjuri University organised an extension lecture programme on Working of Indian Constitution and Constitutionalism' at its conference hall on Monday.
High Court of Manipur justice (retired) Kh Nobin delivered the lecture as resource person and briefly recalled about the history of Indian constitution and Manipur.
Expressing that substantial number of the population seems to be unaware about the acts and laws of the nation, he acknowledged that conduct of such awareness programmes would help the society get acquainted with basics of laws of the land.
Further noting that legal awareness programmes are being conducted periodically in different parts of the country contrary to the outcome not up to the mark as could be comprehended from many found violating the law, Nobin also stressed on the importance of incorporating basics of law in school syllabus.
The lecture programme was attended by LMS law College principal associate professor Dr N Pramod, faculties and students, who also interacted with the resource person.
