Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign flagged off

Thoubal, March 04 2025: As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (campaign) launched in 2020, Thoubal deputy commissioner Ahanthem Subash flagged off a van carrying message of the campaign from the Thoubal DC complex on Tuesday.

The van will travel across Thoubal district to raise awareness about the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign and highlight the harmful effects of drugs on individuals and society with the ultimate goal of eliminating drug use in the state.

Speaking to reporters at the flag-off event, DC Subash mentioned that the Campaign was launched in Thoubal district in 2020 .

Due to the successful implementation of the campaign, the central government awarded the district second prize for successful implementation of the campaign.

The second phase of the Nasha Mukt Bharat began in 2024 and is ongoing, he said and appealed to the people of the district to contribute actively to the campaign's success.

The event was also attended by the District Social Welfare Officer, Nongpok Nganba Chenglei.
