Awareness prog on compensation scheme, 2022 held

Thoubal, July 30 2024: Along with declaring that Hit and Run Compensation Scheme, 2022 has been implemented in the district, Thoubal district administration and District Transport Office, Thoubal organised an awareness programme on the scheme at District Election Office counting hall on Tuesday.

Speaking at the programme, Thoubal-deputy commissioner Ahanthem Subhash assured that Hit and Run Compensation Scheme, 2022 will be judiciously and effectively implemented and urged the people to avail the benefits in case any misfortune related to hit and run case.

Though the scheme was launched on February 25, 2022 by the central government, people seem aware of the scheme, he observed and stressed the need for making the public acquainted with the same.

As a part of the programme, Thoubal district transport officer Irengbam Hemo-chandra elaborated on the scheme in the presence of district level officers, police officials, Meira Paibi activists, District Administrative Committee members, CSOs, local clubs and organisations.
