ANDOK organises bike rally against drug abuse

Imphal, March 29 2025: Narcotic & Affairs of Border (NAB) Superintendent of Police Watham Bashu flagged off a bike rally organised by the Anti Narcotic Drugs Organisation Kangleipak (ANDOK) from Kangla Western gate today with Kwakeithel Takhellambam Leikai Youth Club as the destination.

Notable personalities who participated in the bike rally held under the theme "Iramdam Asigi Tunggi Merol Kannaba Khongchat" include Dr Laishram Deben, former Director, JNIMS; Y Kishorchand, Additional SP, NAB; S Ibomcha, OC, NAB and Chingkhei Luwangcha, president, ANDOK.

Speaking in this connection, Dr Laishram Deben highlighted the growing incidence of drug abuse in Manipur.

He urged people to support the Government's initiatives to uproot drug menace from the State.

Meanwhile, SP Watham Bashu said that the bike rally was organised with a call to the public to transform Manipur into a drug-free State.

He highlighted three steps to eliminate drug sale and abuse of drugs, namely, supplier reduction, demand reduction and harm reduction.
