Imphal, June 25 2025: Zonal Education Office (ZEO), Zone-II, Imphal East in collaboration with Imphal East district administration, Department of Education (S)/Samagra Shiksha, Manipur and 86 Bn CRPF, Lamphelpat created 'Miyawaki Micro-Forest' at Santhok Ningthou Apanba Khubam, Chanam Sandrok on Wednesday under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam/Plant4Mother 2.0' campaign.

As per a release by ZEO, Zone-II, Keirao MLA L Rameshwor Meitei, Imphal East deputy commissioner Dr Nivedita Lairenlakpam, ADC-I Dr N Johnson Meetei, Keirao Bitra SDO Laishram Roshan, Zone-II zonal education officer M Premchandra Singh, Gamma Ray Club (Chanam Sandrok Awang Leikai), Centre of Human Rescuer (Cha nam Sandrok Makha Leikai) and officers of 86 Bn CRPF attended the campaign.

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation of students, teachers, CRPF personnel and local residents, creating a vibrant atmosphere of community engagement.

Around 150 saplings were planted during the plantation drive, it further said.
