Educational tour for ARPS students flagged off

Assam Rifles flagged off an educational tour fer students of Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), New Keithelmanbi, Imphal West district on Sunday.
The tour team heading from Imphal to Guwahati, Shillong and Cherrapunji comprised five teachers and 40 students, including 21 girls, aged 12 to 16.The initiative aims to provide students with hands-on learning experiences while exploring the rich cultural and natural heritage of Northeast India, said PRO IGAR (S), adding that the event commenced with a formal flag-off ceremony held at the Keithelmanbi Garrison of Assam Rifles.
In his address, the Assam Rifles commander emphasised the importance of experiential learning and cultural exposure.
According to the PRO, the students will visit historical sites, educational institutions, and cultural landmarks in Guwahati, Shillong and Cherrapunji.
This excursion is expected to enhance their understanding of regional history, geography and culture while also fostering personal growth and teamwork, it added.
