Kakching, November 14 2024: District Health Society (DHS), Chandel observed World Diabetes Day 2024 at District Hospital (DH), Chandel on Thursday.

The programme organised under the theme 'Diabetes and Well-being: With appropriate access to diabetes care and support for well-being' was attended by DHS mission director and chief medical officer Dr Joyson Mathew Monsang as chief guest; DH medical superintendent Dr Serbum Shakchung as president and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD), Chandel district nodal officer Dr L Deben as guest of honour.

During the event, free health check-up was conducted for NCD patients along with blood sugar level testing, ECG screening and distribution of medicines.
