Imphal, February 13 2025: Assam Rifles on Wednesday provided relief items to the internally displaced people staying in relief camps set up at S Kotlian village and Sangai University in Churachandpur district.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that Assam Rifles reviewed the conditions of the relief camps and provided the much needed moral support to the residents.

The Sangaikot University relief camps houses more than 600 people in distress, it added.

Meanwhile, Assam Rifles organised a volleyball tournament involving six teams in Tengnoupal district on Tuesday where the local youth showcased their dedication and sportsmanship.

The tournament is part of Assam Rifles ongoing efforts to foster cooperation, unity and peace among local youth, the PRO conveyed.
