Lamdeng Lup threatens indefinite roadblock

Imphal, August 06 2024: Condemning alleged indifferent attitude of the government to the public's demand for repairing the highly deteriorated road leading to the Lamdeng Solid Waste Treatment Plant, Lamdeng Apunba Lup has announced its decision of imposing indefinite blockade on the said route from Tuesday till initiation of repair works.

In a release, the Lamdeng Lup informed that the 6.5 km stretch of the road from Iroisemba Bridge to Lamdeng Awang Chingmei is riddled with massive potholes and prone to accidents.

Recalling that memorandum demanding to repair the road within seven days was submitted to the MAHUD minister on July 30, it denounced the government's complete disregard of the road and declared decision to enforce indefinite roadblock with effect from Tuesday.
