Governor petitioned to repair Tinsid road, bridge

Imphal, March 05 2025: Social & RTI activist Kambam Seityajit has urged Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla to do the needful for repairing the dilapidated condition of roads and bridge along the Tinsid road.

In a letter addressed to the Governor, Seityajit pointed out that Khurai Lamlong Keithel is one of the major markets in Imphal East district.

Though Tinsid road serves as an important link to the market, the said road is dotted with potholes making it highly prone to accidents.

Similarly, the potholes on the 'narrow bridge' over the Kongba river along the Tinsid road is also life-threatening, he noted.

Seityajit appealed upon the Governor to look into the deteriorating road and bridge seriously before precious lives are lost.

"Your immediate action to repair or renovate the affected areas is essential to save the lives of public and vehicles from damages.

People of Manipur will remain forever grateful for your good services," he pleaded.
