Kakching, March 04 2025: The International Writers Day was celebrated at Wangjing in Thoubal district under the joint aegis of Manipuri Sahjtya Parishad, Thoubal District Branch, Wangjing, Khorirol Sandoklup, Wangjing and Ningol Khut Manipur, Wangjing at Khorirol Shanglen on Monday.

Presided over by Khorirol Sandoklup Wangjing president Tongbram Babulal, the function had writer Ningthou Naoriya delivering the keynote address on "International Writers Day".

As part of the celebration, writers of Thoubal branch of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad who had received several literary awards were felicitated.

A short story reading event and poem recitation was also held as part of the function by 20 writers.
