Imphal, July 02 2025:
The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, has issued a public warning following the discovery of fraudulent recruitment activities being conducted in its name.
An individual involved in the scam has been apprehended by relevant authorities, and legal proceedings are currently underway.
According to a press release issued by the institute, the impersonator had been offering fake job placements at RIMS in exchange for money.
The institute has strongly condemned such unlawful practices and reiterated that all recruitment - whether permanent, contractual, or outsourced - is carried out strictly through official procedures and recognised government platforms.
RIMS has urged the public not to entertain any unofficial job offers or payment demands, emphasising that anyone claiming to provide employment at RIMS in return for money is committing a criminal offence.
The institute stated it will not be held responsible for any losses incurred from dealings with such fraudulent sources.
The public are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious recruitment activities to the nearest police station or directly to RIMS.
Official recruitment and tender notices will only be published through verified communication channels, said the release.
