Imphal, October 01 2024: Authorities pulled down 25 shops constructed without authorised on both flanks of the Dingku Road, also known as Naga Nullah Road, under the jurisdiction of Heingang SDC in Imphal East district, on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters, Heingang SDC reminded that Imphal East district administration had earlier notified all encroachers to dismantle their illegal structures along the Naga Nullah.

Following this, district administration staff, along with the SDC, inspected the area and carried out the eviction.

He stressed that such illegal structures contributed to artificial flooding and urged everyone to support the government's initiative aimed at upholding public interest.
