CCpur cops net one with one lakh WY tablets

CCpur, July 23 2025: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Churachandpur district police recovered one lakh tablets suspected to be 'World is Yours' (WY) during a house search at Enpum village under Suangdoh sub-division on Wednesday.

The operation was led by Churachandpur SDPO N Thang-zamuan, along with Singhat police station officer-in-charge inspector James Vaiphei.

According to police sources, 10 neatly packed bundles containing the tablets labelled '999' were recovered from the residence during the search.

Upon spot verification, the house owner identified himself as Thangmaljohn alias Hunter (35), son of Khomminthang of Enpum village.

He was immediately arrested.

The suspected WY tablets were seized, and a case has been registered under FIR No 03(07)2025 SGT-PS under Section 22(c) of the ND&PS Act for further investigation, police added.
