Students' poll monitoring cell formed

Imphal, January 13 2025: In view of the upcoming Students' Union Election 2024-2025 scheduled on January 16 for all colleges affiliated to Manipur University, a monitoring cell of six student bodies including MSF, DESAM, KSA, SUK, AIMS and another organisations was formed on Monday.

According to a joint press release of presidents of the student bodies, a meeting was held at the office of MSF in Kwakeithel - with regard to the upcoming Students' Union Election 2024-2025 - during which the monitoring cell was constituted to ensure a free, fair and peaceful election.

Moirangthem Lakshman has been appointed as convenor, and Rajesh Yumnam as treasurer, while Govind, Ng Milan and Soibam Anil are the members of the monitoring cell.

The student bodies then urged college authorities, students and all concerned to extend cooperation to the Monitoring Cell in ensuring an expense-free election, allowing students to freely vote for the candidate of their choice.
