Open debating competition organised

Imphal, August 12 2024: Khangabok Development Society (KDS) organised an Open Debating Competition for Thoubal district on the motion "Manipur Government alone can bring a solution to the prevailing conflict (Manipur Leingak Khaktana Houjik Thokliba Tangdu Leitadaba Migi Waroisin Purakpa Ngamgani), at Khangabok Awang Leikai community hall.

Senior journalist Ahong-sangbam Mobi was speaker of the competition, while MU Law Department assistant professor Dr Sapam Dilipkumar, Debaters Union of Manipur president Thongam Zingo and Tentha High School assistant teacher Khundrakpam Ranjit were the jury members.

The first position was won by Elangbam Jamson Singh (opposed the motion of Heirok Development Club, second by Kerish Devi (opposition) of Wisdom Foundation, Khangabok and third position by Ahong-sangbam Anjubala Devi (opposition) of Wisdom Foundation; while the consolation winners were Chinglemba Khundrakpam (in support of the motion), Tentha High School and Albi Laishram (opposition).

The prize distribution function of the competition was attended by Wisdom Foundation principal Laishram Subha.

as chief guest, with Smart Security Service secretary Laimujam Pratap and New Era Higher Secondary School, Thoubal vice-principal Moirangthem Ashok as presidium members, informed a release issued by KDS Publicity secretary N Kirankumar.
