Anti-drug campaign continues in Thoubal

Thoubal, March 05 2025: District administration and Thoubal district office of Social Welfare Department organised an awareness programme in continuation of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

As part of the month-long anti-drug campaign, the awareness programme was held at Charangpat Mamang Leikai on Wednesday with Thoubal CMO Dr Y Nokul and DPM Ch Basanta as the resource persons.

They elaborated on negative impacts of substance abuse on individuals and society apart from emphasising on importance of de-addiction initiatives at the awareness campaign attended by 'about 90 persons, mostly women.

The participants also took part in pasting awareness posters at the locality.

Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan is an ambitious programme launched by Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in August 2020 to make India a drug-free nation.
