Anti-drug progs held at Kakching relief camps

Kakching, April 02 2025:
Kakching district administration in collaboration with the District Social Welfare Office (DSWO), Kakching conducted anti-drug awareness programmes at different relief camps in Kakching district.
The programmes conducted as part of the District-level Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (Drug Free India Campaign) were held at Wangoo Tera High School, Ema Tampha Lairembi and Wangoo Chigonglei relief camps.
The programmes were attended by DSWO officials and residents of the relief camps with Yengkhom Basanta Singh of SAVO as the resource person.

Similar awareness programmes were conducted on Tuesday at the SC/ST, Kongoi, Wabagai and Keirak Sanatombi relief camps.
The objective of the programmes was to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, educate participants on the importance of a drug-free lifestyle and promote a sense of responsibility towards building a drug-free healthy society, and also, to gain and maintain the support of the people to rise together against drugs.
It may be mentioned that the DSWO, Kakching has been conducting series of awareness and sensitisation programmes under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) in different parts of the district.
