Awareness, training prog on BCLS conducted

Imphal, July 30 2025:
Under the aegis of CRPF IG M&N Sector, 86 Battalion CRPF, Lamphelpat, in collab oration with Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, successfully conducted a comprehensive awareness and training programme on Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) for its personnel.
In a release, 86 Bn second-in-commandant Ravindra Kumar informed that a team of 15 doctors from RIMS led the session, delivering expert lectures and demonstrations on life-saving cardiac emergency techniques.
The programme included both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, enabling participants to gain practical experience in administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other essential life-saving measures, it added.
The release continued that, around 100 CRPF personnel participated in the event benefiting from the insights and skills shared by the medical team.
The initiative aims to enhance the preparedness of security personnel in responding to cardiac emergencies, both in the line of duty and in civil life.
