Imphal, July 29 2024: Assam Rifles organised an interaction with ex-servicemen (ESM) of Bishnupur district at Sendra on Monday with the stated objective to address problems being faced by the ESMs and to work out measures that would contribute to their welfare and uplift.

According to PRO IGAR (S), socio-economic development projects were discussed in detail, as well as upcoming job opportunities for the youth which include Agniveer and sports quota entry in the armed forces.

The ESMs promised to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Assam Rifles and take all efforts for welfare, development and uplift of the society, added the PRO.

In another release, the PRO informed that Assam Rifles on Monday conducted a pre-medical examination in Churachandpur district for candidates who have successfully cleared SSC (GD) prelim online exam 2024.The medical examination was conducted to prepare the candidates for the upcoming physical and medical tests in the recruitment process.

The medical examination consisted of 14 tests, including physical examination, dental and eyesight.

Assam Rifles had also conducted a four-week training capsule in December 2023 as preparation for the online exam for the aspirants from remote villages and internally displaced people of Churachandpur district, said the PRO.
