Imphal, March 29 2025: The age-old Singtek Singsatpa ritual was solemnized at Heibok Ching Tharoilok today as observed annually on the last Saturday of Lamta month.

Kamei Khammei Kabui, representative of Kabui Customary Council, Manipur started the ritual by performing the Yupan Thaba ceremony.

Led by Vidyapati Senjam alias Wakhallamjingba, vice-president, Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board, Maisnam Iboba Luwang, Maibarel, LSTB and Salam Mani Meetei, Amaiba Sanglakpa, LSTB and members of Amaiba Loisang and Pena Loisang participated in the traditional ritual.

On another note, Saroi Khangba ritual was performed at the scared sites of Tera Wangthonbi Pung, Khurai Ahong Pung, Kongba Soudong Pung and Kakwa Lamdai Pung led by Keisam Ibomcha Mangang, senior member, LSTB.

Konsam Tomchou, Sanglakpa, Umanglai Loisang and members of Amaibi Loisang and Pena Loisang also participated in the ritual.
