AR holds security meet, repairs road

Assam Rifles organised a joint security meet at Phoisenbung and Laikamualsau villages in Churachandpur district on Friday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), village authorities, police officers, and company commanders of Army, Assam Rifles and CAPF units attended the meeting which focused on security challenges, public cooperation, guiding youngsters towards education, and maintaining peace amid the tense situation in the state.
All parties agreed to work together to uphold stability and support the security forces, the PRO said in a release.
In another release, the PRO informed that Assam Rifles on July 24 repaired about 100 metres of the approach road to Sehlon village in Chandel district that had been damaged due to heavy rains.
After a rainstorm rendered the main road nearly impassable, complicating daily activities, Assam Rifles promptly mobilised resources to restore connectivity and accessibility, facilitating smoother travel and transportation of essential goods.
The villagers thanked the Assam Rifles for the timely assistance that mitigate the inconvenience, it added.
