Medical camp conducted, friendly volleyball played

Assam Rifles medical staff and a team of nurses reportedly organised a medical camp at Waikhong village in Kakching district on Wednesday as part of the efforts to reach out to the local populace with limited access to essential healthcare facilities.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that total of 248 persons received consultation and medicines during the camp.
On the other-hand, the Indian Army conducted a medical camp at Tuisomjang village under Kangpokpi district under the supervision of four medical officers.
Services such as general health check-up, blood sugar test, and ECG were facilitated at the camp conducted in coordination with Primary Health Centre (PHC), Saikul, according to PRO Defence.
In a release the PRO informed that a special session on disease prevention and healthy living was conducted by a female medical officer, empowering attendees with valuable knowledge on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
A total of 185 locals benefited from the medical camp.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles organised friendly volleyball match at Sangaikot village, Churachandpur district on Tuesday between the girls of Sangaikot relief camp and rifle -women of AR, Sangaikot camp.
The riflewomen emerged victorious in the closely-fought match.
