AR conducts medical camp, fogging operations

Assam Rifles on Friday conducted a medical camp, providing essential healthcare services to the people in remote areas of New Songjang in Chandel district which faces challenges due to poor connectivity and limited access to medical facilities.
According to a release issued by PRO IGAR (S), the camp offered medical consultations, check-ups, treatments and distribution of essential medicines.
A total of 315 residents of New Songjang and surrounding villages benefited from the services provided, said the PRO.
On the other hand, in response to urgent requests from villagers of Kanglatongbi in Imphal West district, Assam Rifles initiated extensive fogging operations to address a concerning rise in vector-borne diseases, particularly dengue and malaria.,The operations commenced on Thursday following an outbreak that has raised public health alarms in the region.
The initiative was executed in collaboration with local health authorities and district administration to ensure comprehensive coverage and maximum impact, the release added.
