DC stresses timely service delivery

Noney, December 19 2024: The district administration on Tuesday conducted a meeting of DLOs at the SDO office complex, Khoupum with an aim to enhance administrative outreach in the district.

The meeting was held with the purpose to strengthen governance in rural areas.

Speaking at the meeting, DC Sharath Chandra Arroju highlighted the need for pro-active and timely service delivery by the DLOs to address public grievances.

He also emphasised on the important measures to pre-empt any potential disruption such as blockade.

A comprehensive review of the implementation of on-going schemes was conducted during the meeting, focusing on the key areas like the progress achieved, challenges encountered and actionable measures to improve public service delivery.

The event also marked the district's preparation for Good Governance Week 2024 scheduled to be observed from December 19 to 24 .

This year's theme "Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur" meaning 'administration towards the village' resonates with the administration's decision to convene in the heart of Khoupum sub-division.

The meeting was attended by SP Namsadai Peter, ADC Stiff Khapudang, SDOs, DLOs and other officials concerned.
