Bpr/Kak/Tbl, July 17 2021: In light of the upcoming occasion of Eid-al-Adha, one of the most sacred festivals for followers of the Islamic faith, food items were distributed as gifts in various areas today.

M Prithiviraj Singh, former MLA of Moirang AC distributed 5 Kg of rice and 1 kg of potato each to 4200 households of Kwakta Municipal Council and Kwakta Gram panchayat as gifts for Eid.

M Prithiviraj Singh accompanied by Kwakta Municipal Council former Chairperson, Maheruddin; ex-Councillor, Abdul Karim (Abo) along with the volunteers of Kwakta Islamabad Youth Development Organisation and Kwakta Mohammadiya Youth Club.

Similarly, keeping an eye on the lockdown and the festival of Eid, social worker Yengkhom Nilachandra also provided financial aid to the widows of Sora in Kakching AC today.

In connection to the Eid-al-Adha festival, social worker Kharibam Jivan also distributed food items to the people of Wangkhem AC.

Speaking on the occasion, Kharibam Jivan wished the people on the upcoming festival and urged them to come forward for Covid vaccination.

Meanwhile, in continuation to the assistance provided to the people Suffering due to COVID-19, social worker Sakir Ahmed distributed food items to 215 households of Maantak village under Wabgai Assembly Constituency today.
