Thoubal, June 17 2025: Jeena Potshangbam of Manipur has been nominated as a member of the first governing board of 'Tribhuvan' Sankari University, Anand in Gujarat, which is the first national cooperative university.

Jeena is also National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), New Delhi Governing Council member and NCUI Project Coordination Committee, Manipur chairperson.

She is one of the four eminent persons in the field of cooperatives in the country.

The governing board is a mix of ex-officio members and nominated representatives drawn from ministries, cooperative institutions and state governments.

Her appointment underscores the centre's commitment to ensuring geographical and cultural representation in shaping India's Cooperative education.
