Kakching body condemns killing of non-locals

Kakching, December 16 2024: All Kakching Clubs' Coordinating Committee has condemned the killing of two non-locals by unknown gunmen on December 14 near Keirak Panchayat Ghar, in between Kakching and Wabagai Lamkhai along NH-137 (A) .

In a statement, the Committee denounced the murder of Laxman Kumar alias Sunalal Kumar (18) and Dasharath Kumar (17), both from Rajwahi village in Gopalganj district, Bihar, but had been staying in a rented quarter at Kakching Khunyai Leikai.

The two, who worked as masons, were shot dead while returning from work on a bicycle.

Demanding that the perpetrators be brought to justice, the Committee called for an end to such senseless murder and also conveyed of sharing solidarity to the aggrieved families in their hour of crisis.

Meanwhile, Kakching police has confirmed that the post-mortem examinations of the two bodies were conducted at JNIMS mortuary and the bodies handed over to their families.
